Community Living Chatham-Kent is pleased to announce the recipients of the Jonathan Daniel Stone Fund. The first Jonathan Daniel Stone Fund Award was presented to Connor Irwin. Connor is 7 years old, from Wallaceburg. He received an iPad, apple pencil, 2 years of apple care, and an adapter. Receiving an iPad through this fund opens up a world of opportunities for Connor. He can easily connect with family, friends, and teachers. It is also a powerful educational tool. From interactive books to educational games, he can explore different subjects like math, science, art, and more…. all while having fun! The iPad isn’t just a device; it’s a gateway to endless possibilities, and growth!
The second recipient was Gauge Sloan. Gauge is 7 years old, from Wallaceburg. Gauge received an iPad which will provide him with a calming place to practice his artistic drawings as he is very talented and hopes to pursue a career in this. The iPad comes with the apple pencil, apple care, and a blue (his favourite colour) shockproof case. He spends his weekends skating, but doesn’t have the equipment for hockey, so he was given a helmet, hockey gloves, and a Vancouver Canucks jersey. Gauge is also interested in trying Karate. With special thanks to The Wallaceburg Martial Arts centre, he was gifted a 3-month membership, and new uniform.
The future is bright for these two young boys, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish!
Congratulations to Connor, and Gauge!
